Educational Interests:
I am a keen athlete and look forward to sharing my passion for sport with children. I played on the women's basketball team throughout secondary school, college and university, and represented my local club the Ilkeston Outlaws and the Midlands region. At university I began playing Ultimate Frisbee which I continue to play today. It is a highly athletic team sport that operates with no official, relying on players adhering to the rules and the "Spirit of the Game". I enjoy being part of a team and believe it is an important thing for children to experience the physical and mental challenges, friendship and fun involved in sport.
I also enjoy reading and writing fiction, and am following the Literacy Pathway on the PGCE. I hope my enthusiasm will inspire my pupils to also enjoy reading and writing.
